I would like to share a reflection. We all have been saying that we need to change our mindset, need to respect women properly. Admitted fact. Seeing another angle, in the radio channels and TV music channels, for last few months or a year or so, the highest rated singer is a guy named "Yo Yo Honey Singh." I have never heard songs which uses so demeaning lyrics towards women and so much "commoditize" women like this fellow's "songs". And yet he becomes the blue eyed boy of bollywood,of music industry and everywhere. And we happily listen to all the obnoxious implications he intends towards women. If we accept such an attitude towards women in the name of "Art for art's sake" are we ever going to change?? Or is there is a basic problem with our society itself?? I may be taking an extreme point of view, but this is what I feel.
